Dress Code

All players, members and guests are required to comply with the following rules on dress:

  • General guideline is smart casual at all times, meaning tailored trousers or shorts and shirt with collar and sleeves.

  • Smart casual wear is acceptable throughout the Clubhouse including for Sunday lunches. In inclement weather members and guests are requested to change from the clothes in which they have played golf before entering the Bar Lounge or Dining / Function Room (except at lunchtimes when playing in an all-day competition).

  • Members and guests may wear tailored shorts of reasonable length (not sports shorts) with long socks or short socks in the Clubhouse.

  • Trousers should not be tucked into the socks whilst playing golf.

  • Clean shorts may be worn in the Clubhouse after playing.

  • Jeans and all denim wear, t-shirts, shirts without collars and trainer shoes are not permitted on the course.

  • T-shirts, shirts without collars and trainer shoes are not permitted in the Clubhouse.

  • Smart casual tailored jeans may be worn in the Clubhouse.

  •  Shirts must be worn inside trousers or shorts on the course or in the Clubhouse, except waist-long tailored shirts designed to be worn outside trousers and shorts.

  • Golf shoes may not be worn in the Clubhouse except in the Locker room or Pro Shop.

  • Baseball caps shall be worn with the peak over the eyes and all headgear respectfully removed when in the Clubhouse.

  • Shoes should only be changed in the locker room and not in the car park.

  • The Club does not recommend the use of soft spikes. The nature of the terrain makes their use dangerous especially in wet conditions. The use of good metal spikes is recommended. If using soft spikes, take extra care on slopes and timber sleeper paths.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones must be switched off or on silent mode in the Function Room, Lounge and Bar areas in the
Clubhouse and on all areas of the Golf Course. They may not be used in these stated areas of the Clubhouse, but may be used in an emergency on the Golf Course.
