Dress Code

All players, members and guests are required to comply with the following rules on dress:

·                General guideline is smart casual at all times. Smart casual is tailored trousers / slacks and shirt with collar and sleeves, no denim, jeans or trainers.

·                Smart casual wear is acceptable throughout the Clubhouse including Sunday lunches.

·                Dress for all other Dining Room functions is usually jacket and tie or polo neck sweater or as indicated on the relevant notice for the individual function.

·                In inclement weather members and guests are expected to change from the clothes in which they have played golf before entering the Bar Lounge or Dining / Function Room except at lunchtimes when they are playing in an all-day competition.

·                 Members and guests may wear tailored shorts of reasonable length (not sports shorts) with long socks or predominately white short / ankle socks in the Clubhouse before playing and on the course.

·                Trousers should not be tucked into the socks whilst playing golf.

·                Clean shorts  may be worn in the Clubhouse after playing.

·                When wearing sandals in the Clubhouse, white socks must be worn.

·                Jeans and all denim wear, t-shirts, shirts without collars and trainer shoes are not permitted on the course or in the Clubhouse at any time.

·                Shirts must  be worn inside trousers or shorts on the course or in the Clubhouse, except waist-long tailored shirts designed to be worn outside trousers and shorts.

·                Golf shoes will not be worn in the Clubhouse except in the Locker room or Pro Shop.

·                Baseball caps shall be worn with the peak over the eyes and all headgear should be removed when in the Clubhouse.

·                Shoes must only be changed in the locker room, not in the car park.

·                The Club does not recommend the use of soft spikes. The nature of the terrain makes their use dangerous especially in wet conditions. The use of good metal spikes is recommended.
If using soft spikes, take extra care on slopes and timber sleeper paths.

·                Mobile phones must be switched off in the Bar Lounge or Dining / Function area and on the Golf Course.
They may only be used on the Course in an emergency situation.

Members are also reminded that they are responsible for their guests complying with the dress rules and the rules of the Club at all times.·
